Most babies are hanging out in a bouncer at four months old – but not our little “Beauregard”. Cora was such a trooper and did so well spending the day at Magic Kingdom. I used to think people were insane for bringing infants to Disney, but that was back when I had one kid. Isla has been begging to go back almost since our passes expired close to a year ago. I have a documentary vacation session coming up in November anyway so we needed to renew soon – and since it was an overcast day and a long weekend we just went for it. I was 98.6% sure I’d come home talking about what a horrible mistake it all was. But we really did have fun – and I think I burned about 2 billion calories which is a just a little added bonus.
It was an early, EARLY morning and even though we pulled up to the house around 10:30pm, it felt like 3am easily. Isla saw Elsa and Anna which was pretty much her life’s ambition so I don’t really know what’s next for her at this point. Maybe world dominance? Brett FINALLY got to go on the 7 dwarves mine train ride which has had a crazy long wait every time we’ve been – this time was the shortest at 60 minutes! But it’s always an overestimation and since Isla is now tall enough (yay!!!!) he obviously HAD to go! They both loved it. My favorite ride was always Splash Mountain and even though the height limit is 40 inches and Isla is 39.99999 inches, she managed to squeak by with her giant rollercoaster shoes Nanny bought her.
We are all totally exhausted today and feel hungover but I’m pretty sure we’re going back next weekend. We are hooked on that mouse. But seriously, almost 4 is the perfect age for Disney. I have never seen anyone have so much fun as Isla had there yesterday!
