Kids were here… {january-march 2014}

For anyone not familiar with this project, I’ll quote photographer Jude Wood because she said it better than I could:

“In the the moment is is easy to get frustrated with all the mess and clutter that results from living with children. This set reminds me how quickly it will all pass. One day the toys will be in totes no longer played with. I will miss this. I’m reminded to slow down. To not stress about it. My happiness is not dependant upon everything put back into place and a neat and tidy home.

One day we will have a wonderful reminder. Evidence left behind written upon our hearts and minds of our children. Photographs that will bring us back to this very day, when our kids were here.” -jude wood

The project was originally started by Ketti Phillips of Ketti Photography. The idea is to photograph traces of your children without actually having them in the picture. It’s such a fun project because it teaches you to see the peculiar beauty in the chaos and it is pretty fun to photograph things that don’t move sometimes 😉

This year I’ve joined a group of photographers who will post this proof in pictures 4 times in 2014. So here is the evidence left by my dear girl since the new year…
