Isla’s Birthday Disney Trip!

For Isla’s 2nd birthday, we got annual passes to Disney World! We’ve already been twice and I’m only now blogging our trip from 2 weeks ago!
We stayed at Pop Century Resort for two nights and got to see so much in 2 (and 1/2) days!
I didn’t take too many pictures because Brett was GoPro’ing the trip (and he made an awesome short video of the highlights!) so I got to sort of kick back and relax for most of it! Plus, knowing we have a whole year to enjoy the parks made it much more relaxing!

Isla’s favorite thing right now is Jake and the Neverland Pirates (although she loves Oso, Doc McStuffins, Sofia the First and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse too!)… wow it sounds like all she does is watch TV but I promise that’s not entirely true! 😉 Her first trip to Disney was super fun (oh wait I just looked back and it turns out it was super hectic and I might have cried) but this time she was even more into it if that’s even possible!

We literally just stepped in the door and she’s ordering room service! Kids these days!

On our way to Magic Kingdom – Isla’s first time on the monorail!

Lunch break at that restaurant where you get unlimited cheese sauce… Pecos Bill’s! Isla got J&NP figurines after riding Pirates of the Carribbean (which she wasn’t even scared of at all!)

(The tears are because I left without her – but I had to get a shot looking in!):)

A special button for the birthday girl!

Exhausted from all her adventures! (Jingle Cruise, Tiki Birds, Pirates and Aladdin’s Flying Carpet!)

She could have done this all day!

The next morning we started out with character breakfast at Hollywood Studios!

Of course she totally loved Jake! They gave her a special birthday card from all the characters:)

She even loved Handy Manny whom she had never laid eyes on in her life! Seriously she gave him more kisses than I get in a week!

Then we met Minnie Mouse in her powder room! Isla was completely enthralled and demanded to know how to get a powder room of her own!

Waiting in line for the Disney Jr Live on Stage show… being super silly:)

After a break (and nice long nap) at the resort, we headed back to MK to play some more and for the Electrical Light Parade! I love that they brought this back – it’s exactly the way it was in the 80’s!

Shopping for hats… you have no idea how hard it was to get that Donald hat away from her! The hat with her name embroidered on it? She wore that one exactly zero times:)

Balloons in golden afternoon light and the birthday girl? I couldn’t resist!

Starbucks break! Like I needed another reason to love Disney!

Playing in the new Circus Town (think that’s what it’s called) which used to be Toon Town! Such a fun theme!

Serenaded by the cast of Pinocchio’s restaurant in Fantasy Land! Isla loved dancing with the puppet! They sang happy birthday while she watched in stunned silence and then handed her a peice of chocolate cake – she was in heaven!

Back in our room after a long (fun) day!

“I’m TWO today!!!!!”

“Buy me a doughnut it’s my birthday!”

With Daddy at Kilimanjaro Safari (where he worked in college!)

Beginning stages of a sugar coma setting in while Daddy figures out fast pass..

And she’s out! Had to get this shot (just like one of the shots from May – man has her foot grown!)

It was such a fun trip! Can’t believe my little girl is a two year old!!! Wow!
