December in Florida…

Isla’s birthday and Thanksgiving have both come and gone which means we can officially bust out the Christmas decorations. Last week’s cold front had us all in the mood for Christmas music playlists and hot chocolate but today was a little on the warm side. No problem. We can just skip wearing pants, switch our boots out for flip flops (it’s not like we were silly enough to pack them away) and decorate the house with scarf wearing, holiday flamingos.

Later on we checked the mail and guess who made his appearance (on a Sunday no less!) – the elf on the shelf! He was covered in North Pole snow which Isla loved and Dexter tolerated. Hours later I caughter in making snow angels in the kitchen while singing ‘Let it Go’ but as soon as she saw my camera she yelled “DON’T TAKE MY PICTURE!!!” (who on earth taught her to say that nonsense?!?!)

Happy December!
