Beefy King and other fine art in Orlando

So I’m super lucky that one of my favorite photographers and good friends, Lauren Mitchell, lives close enough that we can meet up every so often and photograph whatever bizarre attraction we stumble upon. But its extra good luck that we both have 3 year old girls to drag around with us – they might make things a little tougher at times but if it weren’t for them we wouldn’t know which establishments have the coolest bathrooms or the best chocolate milk (for the record it’s Propagation). And really, no one is that interested in seeing pictures of a gorgeous mid-Century sitting room unless there are a couple preschoolers jumping on the couch, amirite?

Here’s a little look at our afternoon in Orlando: delicious Beefy King (the spuds and the horsey sauce were worth the drive up from Sarasota), a quick trip to the Orlando Museum of Art where Lauren kept the children semi-behaved by promising them gold doubloons and telling them something about pirates kidnapping them if they weren’t quiet (well I forget exactly… it was something like that but less traumatic), and then finally a stroll through Mills50 where all the cool stuff resides.
