A Day In the Life {volume 2}

It’s funny how a day in your life changes so quickly. Things that are so routine, that seem like they will happen every day for the rest of your life, morph ever so slightly. I first took on a Day in the Life series back in April. The day looked pretty similar to this day in June. But upon closer inspection I noticed little changes. Little changes that added together day after day, make up big changes. It’s so interesting to notice the subtle ways in which your life evolves.

This was our June 14, 2013.

Diaper changes are wriggly-er than ever 🙂

Someone has started to love chocolate milk. Well, mostly just straws.

She can open doors (well she could if they were unlocked) 😉

She still gives me that same look as before. And Dexter still hates to be outside alone.

Dexter still begs with a total disregard for manners. Isla loves banana walnut bread.

Donald is peeved as usual. 😉 Isla has taken a newfound interest in the car she got for her birthday.

Ready to roll.

When we come home, she loves to walk up the drive and in the front door all by herself. Occasionally we make a pit stop to play on the front porch.

The pool guy.

Spying. Crying. Napping. (Followed by a Clickinmoms break for me!)

We always start off with lofty goals! We never did make it to Trader Joes… but it’s the thought that counts I guess.

Father’s Day card shoppin’… She found the perfect card for Daddy. A Tigger card that sings “The Wonderful Thing about Tiggers”. In April she called all the Pooh characters “Poooooh” but now she says “Piiig-lehhhhh” (Piglet) and when you ask her to say Tigger she bounces 😉

Always a hit in the checkout line.

You didn’t think we made it through the whole store without eating half a bag of Goldfish did you? 😉

I’ve upgraded my iPhone since April! And invested in a shock absorbing case. Ahhhh love that smooth, uncracked screen! And Isla has recently added Pitbull to her playlist on rdio and seems more interested in current music than her Mickey Mouse Clubhouse jams! (She still loves her songs when they come on TV)

I always take my toddler to play in the courtyard of a church, don’t you?

Actually I just got turned around on my way somewhere else and decided this was a good a playground as any.

Isla’s got mail!

Time to clean up!

Cilantro and lime chicken paninis! We eat this like once a week now!

She loves water and backyard muddin’

Back to the yard after dinner…

Fiery redhead, even in black and white.

Grown up time…

…doesn’t exist. Haha 🙂

I just love her. This is what we look like most of the time…

This is the part where I thought I would have some really nice sleeping pictures. Maybe use the iPad as a soft box. Get a nice black and white conversion. A perfect way to end my day in the life! Except that’s not how this day ended… Isla fell asleep but awoke at midnight! (should have snagged the sleeping picture sooner!) She climbed out of bed (something she couldn’t do in April) and we went back to the living room for a (diet) coke and a smile 😉 Just a few sips of course!
